Thinking about training for a tri? Whether you are beginner and don’t know where to start, or a seasoned triathlete looking to improve your performance, the Sports Center’s Half-Day Triathlon Camps will get you on the right training track. Led by the coaches of our 4x National Champion Triathlon Team, Full Throttle Endurance, these camps lead you through a series of swimming, biking and running workouts. Participants will also work on race strategies and transitions.

Come test your off-season fitness, beat those mid-winter training blahs and stay sharp for racing over the winter!

Distance: Approximately 10 miles, 

Categories: Men under 45, Women under 45, Women 45+

Format: 2 rounds of riders, maximum 40 riders, first-come, first-served.  Each round will be allotted 1 hour, 15 min. to warm–up and complete the course. If you do not finish the course, you will be given credit for the distance and time completed.  Each round may consist of riders in any field; rounds are not necessarily grouped by category. All riders will warm-up 10 minutes, and then racing starts. On the PerfPro System, everyone starts together; all times are individually recorded. Prizes will be awarded!

"Achilles Fundraiser" Indoor Triathlon Series

Achilles Foundation Triathlon Fundraiser

All proceeds will be donated to Achilles International in support of athletes with disabilities.

Our Indoor Triathlons provide a unique setting and opportunity to race indoors; a luxury during those cold winter months and hot summer days! The Sports Center features a 25-yard, 6-lane pool, ¼-mile indoor track, Cycle Studio with Keiser spin bikes and a dedicated CompuTrainer area with 20 stations for those that prefer to train on their own bike. 

All races are sprint distance: 500-yard swim, 15-mile spin bike/10-mile CompuTrainer ride and 3-mile run. 

Athletes should bring all of their own race gear including a race belt. A personal bike is required if you plan to use the CompuTrainer.

Italy Cycling Trip

Piemonte Italy Cycling Trip 2017

May 5 – May 9, 2017

As you know, every year for the last 8 years, Full Throttle Endurance has traveled to Italy and France for some of the most beautiful areas you will ever see.  Our itinerary is now available and as you will see on BackRoads and Ciclismo Classico tour links below, we will experience about three times more of the region as they do. And fyi, single rooms and wine is not included in their pricing!

This year’s FTE trip is scheduled for May 5 - 9 which is NOT Mother's Day weekend this time!  Unfortunately, the month of May is considered “high season” in Piemonte so room availability is already limited and costs already higher.  John and Kim will therefore be leaving in just a few weeks to plot out the trip and firm up as much as possible to accommodate our large group in the best hotel and restaurant locations.  

Basic Trip Details:

We have chosen a roundtrip flight to Milan as the best choice for this trip. Unless you wish to leave earlier for personal travel, the preferred group flight will be the non-stop United flight leaving May 4, 2017 from Newark (or other NYC airport)  6:35pm and arriving Milan morning of May 5th at 8:40am.  Instead of a layover with connecting flight typically needed to arrive in Torino, we will travel by bus together for 2 hours to an estate near Casale Monteferrato at the edge of Piemonte.  Our group bus will depart Milan Airport by 9:45am so plan your trip accordingly. Antonello and crew will be awaiting us at the wine estate to fit us on our bikes, enjoy a light lunch and then get an early start to Torino. (50 miles/ 2600 ft gain)    

The return flight on Tuesday May 9:   Milan to Newark leaving Milan at 10:40am and arriving Newark 1:45pm.

"Family Relay" Indoor Triathlon Series

Family Relay Triathlon

Our first family race! Each participant can do 1 or 2 legs of the triathlon and their family member(s) can do the other(s). Teams can consist of 2 or 3 participants. Ages 13+.

The newly formed Full Throttle Endurance NYC Junior Team will race alongside other youth and junior triathletes from the NYC area. Ages 13-17. Spectators welcome!
